The aim of this study was translating and validating Polish versions of popular screening tools and measuremets for the assessment of dissociation and alteration in consciousness.

Four instruments were adapted and evaluated in terms of their psychometric properties: Somatoform Dissociation Questionnaire (SDQ-20, Nijenhuis et al., 1996), Dissociative Experiences Scale Revised - a new version of the original Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES, Berstein & Putnam, 1986), Dissociative Symptoms Scale (DSS, Calrson et al., 2016), and Trauma Experiences Checklist (TEC, Nijenhuis, Van der Hart, & Kruger, 2002). Validation and lunching of these tools in Poland will aid screening studies and assessment of people with dissociative disorders.
