Sonam Choki

Khesar Gyelpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan

She has been working as a clinical nurse for over 14 years in JDWNRH, registered with the Bhutan Medical and Health Council. She is also a Certified Addiction Professional. She started her career as a staff nurse and later worked in a psychiatric unit as head nurse for six years. Between 2012 and 2017, she also served as a nursing representative at the the Research Ethics Board of Health. She is currently a Senior Lecturer at the Khesar Gyelpo University of Medical Sciences of Bhutan, teaching subjects on mental health and substance abuse. She is also a co-investigator in the study “The experience and meaning attributed to physical symptoms with no medical cause in the Bhutanese community”, run at the Jigme Dorji Wangchuk National Referral Hospital, Thimphu, Bhutan.
